Pop-Up Lecture for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
Archaeologists have increasingly attempted to fill an informational gap created by their disciplines' historic focus on adult men. Children were often excluded from reconstructions of the past because archaeologists assumed they didn’t work and, if there was no production on their part, then there were no artifacts that could be used to study them. This couldn’t be further from the truth! Join me as I present my individual project for the Indigenous Science Internship - a small but mighty exhibit proposal that explores the often-overlooked artifacts of children in Ancient Mesoamerica.
